Golfers and sponsors helped raise more than $40,000 at the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Charity Golf Classic. This first-time event was held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Chenequa Country Club and included celebrity guest golfer, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver and Super Bowl XXXI Champion, Antonio Freeman, 18-hole scramble, awards reception and dinner.
All proceeds raised will support the Aurora VNA Pediatric IMPACT program, in-home health care and Zilber Family Hospice. Last year, caregivers drove close to four million miles across eastern Wisconsin in order to provide care to more than 15,000 women, men and children through hospice services, specialized pediatric in-home care, Aurora Adult Day Center services and to deliver and install critical home medical equipment.
“The generous donations we received will help to support programs and services from Kenosha to Green Bay. Our highly skilled team is privileged to offer health solutions that enable people to remain independent in their homes and communities,” said Judi Strout, development officer for Aurora Health Care Foundation. “We are thankful for the community’s commitment to make a difference for those who depend on our services.”
