Dr. Tony Meyer to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at There is Light Gala

Dr Tony MeyerAurora Health Care is honored to announce Tony Meyer, MD, Medical Director of Aurora Psychiatric Hospital, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the There is Light Gala on September 13.

Dr. Meyer first began joined what was then known as Milwaukee Psychiatric Hospital as a student in 1962, and served as a resident in 1965. He later joined the hospital’s staff in 1976.

Dr. Meyer received his medical degree from Marquette University School of Medicine and is board certified in both child/adolescent and general psychiatry. As a clinical professor, he is also the former Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

As a clinical professor, he is also the former director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he served for 21 years. Dr. Meyer is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the State Medical Society and was affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin from 1976 to 1981. Dr. Meyer served as the director of the Child Adolescent Treatment Center of Milwaukee County from 1976 to 1981. He has provided consultative and educational services to school districts throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

He is recognized by colleagues, students, community organizations, patients and families as having a profound impact on mental health within people’s lives.
