Thank you to the thousands of people who took part in our Lombardi Cancer events in Milwaukee, Oshkosh and Walworth County! A total of more than $260,000 was raised to help support local cancer programs in our communities.
A special thank you goes out to our Lombardi Walk in Walworth County, who held their inaugural event at Edgewater Park in Williams Bay on June 7. Approximately 300 people came out make an impact in our community and in the lives of so many fighting cancer. Walkers, local businesses and supporters raised more than $25,000 to support cancer care at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. At the same time, more than 500 walkers in Oshkosh came together at Menominee Park to walk for cancer. Many teams showed their spirit, and this year’s Spirit winner went to the Oshkosh Avengers. Who could miss these cancer super heroes on the walk! Together, participants raised more than $40,000 to support cancer care at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh. And this past Saturday, more than 3500 walkers, runners and supporters came to the Milwaukee County Zoo for the 27th annual Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation Walk/Run. Former Green Bay Packer Santana Dotson rallied the crowd and cheered runners and walkers on. Together, they raised close to $200,000 to support cancer care at Aurora Health Care.
