Chris and Lori’s baby Landon spent 74 days in the NICU at Aurora West Allis Medical Center.

Generous supporters of the 4th annual Evening of Promise event raised $66,000 to provide enhancements to the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Aurora West Allis Medical Center, which serves close to 400 babies each year.

The event held October 2 at Summit Place in West Allis was a memorable one, as guests had a chance to visit a new Giraffe OmniBed, which provides the most advanced, user-friendly and developmentally supportive environment for some of our tiniest patients. They also heard from Lori, a parent of a “NICU graduate”, who shared her emotional journey while her baby spent more than two months in the NICU. Her story helped many understand the impact their time and generosity has on helping babies in our community.

Dollars raised will support key areas of the NICU that will improve patient care, including the establishment of a breast milk depot, more Giraffe OmniBeds, and family support programs such as NICU family coaching and others.

It’s not too late support our NICU baby registry! Visit give.aurora.org/nicuregistry to make a gift. HelpMoreBabies AB 1200x1200
