This picture was taken on July 7. There is much work still to do but the shell of the building is already taking shape.

Hope is getting a new home in the form of a brand new state-of-the-art cancer center in western Racine and Walworth Counties. Aurora Cancer Care will be located within a new Aurora Health Center that is being constructed on 70 acres near Spring Valley Road and Highway 36. The official groundbreaking for the site was held in early June, but you can already see the progress being made in early July.

What this means is the time to support the Partners in Cancer Care campaign is now! It’s a $2.2 million community fundraising effort to support this centrally located cancer center. It will feature 25 medical oncology infusion bays (two of which are private rooms), 10 exam rooms and one outpatient procedure room, as well as space for complementary support services like integrative medicine therapies that focus on wellness and healing.

We are grateful for supporters of this year’s Crystal Ball in Burlington, Benefit Ball in Elkhorn, Lombardi Walk to Tackle Cancer in Williams Bay, a $1,000,000 gift from the Burlington Foundation, Waterford Balloonfest and golf events like Colors for Cancer and the McGMO golf outing that support this campaign as well.

Join our campaign to ensure your family, friends and neighbors have access to the best cancer services available. Go to give.aurora.org/cancercenter to make a gift or learn more.
