2015 has been a year-long celebration of Aurora Zilber Family Hospice’s 10th Anniversary. The anniversary dinner held on Tuesday, December 1 at The Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee was a wonderful culmination of the year-long celebration. More than $800,000 was raised this year thanks to the generous support from everyone who believes in the care Aurora Zilber provides.

Thoughtful gifts from sponsors, attendees and donors to the dinner, Aurora Golf Classic and the Walk for Aurora Zilber will help to provide quality, compassionate care to patients and emotional support for families.
Donations provide end-of-life care to individuals of all ages, from infants to older adults. There are three areas that benefit from the 10th Anniversary celebration:
- Create a culture of caring, an environment where the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their families are met.
- Encourage emotional healing through enhanced bereavement services.
- Provide hospice education and caregiver training so that caregivers can offer the most compassionate care possible during any situation.

In her remarks that night, Marcy Jackson, daughter of Joe and Vera Zilber, perfectly captured the sentiments of caregivers at Aurora Zilber – “I believe people in this world should feel as much love when they leave us as when they were born.”
Marcy also announced a special gift of $250,000 on behalf of the trustees and staff of the Zilber Family Foundation to provide continuing education and training for Aurora hospice providers. Read more about the generous gift here.
